1979
Horizon TC-3 4-speed
The first brand new car I ever owned,
was this 1979 Horizon TC-3 4 speed, 4 banger, with custom
wheels and Goodyear Wingfoot tires. I got T boned later on and it
went to the bone yard.
1980 Suzuki 850
GSL
I owned this
1980 Suzuki 850 GSL for 10 years and a lot of miles. I also crashed
it 3 times, none of which was my fault. It still hurt! Satisfied my
need for speed at the time.
1988 Dodge
Daytona Shelby Z
My 1988 "Bluzee" Dodge Daytona Shelby Z Turbo
with a factory high performance computer, Center force clutch, and
lowered. I installed a 1100 watt custom competition stereo system in
it. I
won a lot of sound off contests with this rig. I always tuned for
quality of sound, not bass but, it could still uncage your eye
balls!
I kept
the engine compartment detailed.
It was my daily driver and had 140,000 plus miles on it when I sold
it to buy the V-8 Vair. Folks didn't believe it was not garage kept.
I got more speeding tickets with this car than anything else. The
State used to write me letters even!
1993 Dodge
Shadow ES
This is my 1993 Dodge Shadow ES, 3.0 Liter V6, 5 speed.
This car was deceptively quick. It was a good road car and I put a
lot of miles on it. I sold it when I bought my truck. I could
embarrass a five liter "Moostang" if he wasn't paying attention.
1996 Dodge Ram
This 1996 Dodge Ram was my daily driver and tow vehicle
for my Corvairs until August 2007. It was a reliable vehicle and most people
didn't believe it's as old as it was. Unfortunately, age was it's
downfall.
2007 Dodge Ram
The old 96 Big Red Dodge finally let us down for the last time
so.... It got replaced!
This is my new 2007 Dodge Ram half ton pick up truck. Damn nice
unit! I snapped a few photos the first day we had it
before I started accessorizing. Gotta make it mine ya know! I
especially like the rear seat fold out package area.
I liked all of the add on's my old truck had so I set about doing
the same to the new one. The first thing was the Line-X spray in bed
liner.
A fellow at work had it done to his truck and I really liked the way
it looked so I did the same. While I was doing the bed liner I found
a neat add on called an EZ down
for the tail gate. It lets the gate down nice and easy. And, no
drilling, it uses the existing holes and hardware. The next
item was the bed cover. I wanted one that was light, secure and
could be removed if need be to haul tall items. I found an all metal
folding model
which was exactly what I had in mind. It took about three hours to
install and again, required no drilling.
Next was the Gibson Super Truck side exit cat
back exhaust.
I had the same system on my 96 and I like the mellow tone at cruise
and bellow at WOT! Hey, it's a Hemi and I want to hear it bark when
I step on the loud pedal. To go along with the better breathing
a K & N
Filter Charger cool air kit was installed.
After looking at the wheel openings, I decided to go with the
stainless steel trim
to give it some accents to go along with the 20 " chrome
wheels. I think the Dodge factory optional wheels are the best
looking wheels of any truck. Obviously, the
stock grille had to go so I sprung for a heavy mesh polished
stainless piece. It maintains the aggressive look of the truck. Of
course I always remove most of the factory badging because I like
the smooth clean look but, I had to display a Hemi badge somewhere.
As you can see it's on the grille. Kind of like the old Chrysler 300
series. The interior was the usual gray and
brushed chrome plastic but the addition of a walnut burl wood
grain dash trim kit jazzed it up just right.
It was an easy install, however, you better be sure you have each
piece exactly where you want it because the 3M sticky stuff is
industrial strength! The opening for the heated seat switches ,
which this truck does not have, provided a perfect place for my
electric trailer brake control
and the CB radio. Also, I had to fab
some brackets to mount the twin antennas. Last
but not least by any means are the Hammer Three Train Horns.
Yep, I said train horns! Three nice chrome metal trumpets
and a 200 PSI air tank
with its own compressor.
Can you say LOUD! I call them the "get your head out of your ass"
horns. Works well on those left laners from Ohio and drivers with a
cell phone stuck to their ear! That BIG HORN
on the tail gate
means something now!
