This was the first issue of The Windmill
with Mark Ellis as editor. The issue contained results of the first
convention concours and autocross as set out in the "1st CORSA Convention"
section of this site, as well as some facts on the Chevrolet styling
exercise referred to as the prototype for the 1962 Corvair Spyder, a
car that was shown at the New York International Auto Show in April,
1961.
The cover photo of the 1963 Monza
Spyder below was used by Chevrolet in print advertising captioned "Is
the Spyder's thrust just so much hot air?" The text then went on the
explain the Spyder used "hot exhaust gas to power its turbo-super-charger.
